>>106321813The story about Elizabeth Olsen was fake, but I can't quite shake the feeling that maybe Wanda would have had Carol's role in Endgame if Carol had been left out of it (as she should have been).
They both have Infinity Stone powers. Carol's link to the stone will probably play some role in figuring out how to reverse what Thanos did. When I saw the posters with the "Big heads" for Infinity War I noticed that Wanda was the only one of the big head characters who vanished at the end of the movie. It would all make sense if there was a plan for her to survive and be the one whose stone powers get analyzed.
Pure speculation, it's true, and obviously the posters were created after they knew what would happen in part 2. If they do better than this in the next Avengers movie (like if there is a story for the characters who vanished, or if they come back early enough for Wanda and Carol to actually talk about having similar powers) I'll be overjoyed. But I think once Feige decided that Carol had to be The Most Powerful *and* that her powers would be essentially the same source as Wanda's, it was over for my girl.
I just don't see how that story could be true though, given that Elizabeth Olsen never expected her character to be the star and other once-promising actors have been shafted worse by the MCU (Renner).
