most can still get an arousal response and achieve orgasm through physical stimulation, but its usually just to regulate their hormone levels or alleviate boredom. Some do have sex, but mostly as a courtesy to their partner. Mashing genitals is about as tantalizing for them as shaking hands for twenty minutes
the ones that are disgusted by sex are usually the ones that have had bad experiences with partners not taking "can we please stop, I'm just not enjoying this" as an answer, typically from before they realized they were asexual.
