So Disney buys up the boy products, like Star Wars, and Marvel. It waits for about 3 years, then it starts trying to market the products in a way that it knows how: for little girls.
All of a sudden, the male gaze is being phased out. All the woman who dressed sexy or liberated are now dressed conservatively. No more Bikini Leia, no more leotards, and once Disney starts making the X-Men movie, Emma Frost won't even have a mid-drift, or viewable cleavage.
