>>105574065>Beyond that, wouldn't surprise me if they avoid Ruby romance, but I think it'd be a mistake.Same, especially since the arguments against a romance for Ruby are generally weak. "She's not interested in that kind of thing", for example, because then her becoming intetested in that kind of things can be interesting to see, as it's an inherent change in her character. Or "She should focus on beating Salem", which apparently only applies to her. Shouldn't Ren and Nora focus on beating Salem too, then? Or Biake and Yang?
When it's not a disguised fetishisation of her purity, innocence and or childlikeness. In contradiction to some of the themes attached to her, as she's not just a child, and Qrow commented on her growing up. Besides, she's often compared to her mother who as far as we can tell was as pure as her, and still fell in love and had a kid, so it's not uncompatible.
Personally, I'd like to see her relationship with Jaune getting deeper. They already have a great connection, and many of their scenes can easily be reframed with a romantic undertone (which is harder for her other ships, except maybe Oscar but in that case it would be really one-sided). And there's a lot of appeal thematically to me, though expanding on that would just be me gushing about my ship.
Still, it'd be fine if RT decides to just have them be best buddies. Maybe a bit disappointing, but alright.
And, well, it might be bias but contrary to the bees, lancasterfag as far as I see have no problem acknowledging it's just hypothesis and personal preferences, not yelling it's canon every time Ruby and Jaune are on the same frame.
