Emotional string pulling isn't even a problem for me if you can do it competently and naturally, best case scenario with an actual narrative driving it.
If you turn it into a fucking theme park it loses impact or worse gets me to start overthinking rather than feeling.
For example she's a dog but has no keen sense of smell and hearing? How did those girls manage to get to the roof without her hearing them? Are they black ops agents? Who is even paying for her attendance, she can't just call them and go home with the day already being unprofitable? Since she caught the fish herself to make lunch I get the impression she's responsible for herself, so she may as well just become a hikikomori she's clearly not learning anything at that school to benefit her.
As another anon said, why even attend a school that's prejudiced rather than going to one with a more balanced view or grouping. Just don't add up.
