I was listening to this today,
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VjOZ9SKGswc , and it made me realize that there honestly is a crusade happening now from the inside out to create barriers for comedy. There’s always been people offended at humor, but I feel like now it’s a massive effort to ensure that the topics of jokes must be controlled at all times. Somehow a Golden Globes speech managed to make the previous ones not look embarrassing.
Jokes can no longer have a controversial topic. Humor can’t be made out of the expense of anyone deemed too important by social media. If you laugh at a stereotype you are not only problematic, but now people will gun for your livelihood and ruin your life.
