>>105328267Depending on how indepth you want to get into Witchblade is how complicated it is. The Top Cow Universe was never as complicated as say Marvel or DC but because it was a product of the 90s the crossovers and one shots were sometimes not explained. But most of it can be ignored if you just want to concentrate on Witchblade, the main book it crosses over with is The Darkness.
It is very 90s bad sexy girl; a detective Sara Pezzini gets an ancient artifact that is a sort of living metal that covers her in armour and very often shreds her clothes. It is very cheesecake, but I really enjoy the run, especially when Ron Marz takes it over and does his 11 year run.
If you do decide to read it, read the first 21 or so issues, until Christina Z leave (for sure stay as long as Micheal Turner is doing art). Then skip right to the 60s cause it's utter trash between then. Or you can skip right to Ron Marz with #80, it gets really good then as he introduces a ton more artifacts and then makes a huge event out of it.
Of course, it being Top Cow, the art is almost always top knotch
