>>105317356>they didn't do Pete's originWe all know Peter's origin. Spectacular Spider-Man didn't start with it for a reason - there's no fucking point. Every one of us has seen it a billion times.
>Ironman gave him a free suitMissing the point hard. Yes, Iron Man gives him a suit. Does it make him a better Spider-Man?
No, it actually hinders him at points - the point being that Spider-Man should not be like Iron Man.>taught him how to be a heroHe didn't really teach him anything, to be honest. Just gave him neat stuff and hoped everything would sort itself out, which is actually a pretty good indicator as to how Tony sees the role of an adult authority figure.
>and was so brain dead the whole movieAnon, he doesn't really do anything stupid in the movie. He spends a shit ton of it trying to prove himself and constantly being shut out, and thus trying to prove himself harder without all the information. And Tony was wrong to shut him out, by the way - we're not supposed to think "man why is this dumb cunt trying to help people and stop villains, why can't he stick to purse snatchers like Tony says?" The movie is about Peter proving that he can handle himself while also becoming aware of how much growth he has ahead of him.
I swear to god, why are critics of this movie always so brainless?
