>>105294846>I actually always thought Cain was an established character in the same vein as Ducard and they were using that to give Cass some ties to existing lore before I finally read itSame here. One can argue it's a sign of a well-done job
>>105295268but, anon... Steph is her sidekick!
>>105296848>>David Cain is too much like Henri Duckard and serves no function after Cass introduction.I call bullshit.
Her relationship with Cain, who obviously loves her dearly, is one of the key-point of her development.
That's why everybody hated New52 Cain.
>>105296971>It's just that other than raising and training Cass as a feral child made to kill there wasn't much to him.that's kind of the point, though.
Even though(or maybe because) he was the top assassin this side of Deathstroke, he had nothing until he started his little project, as sort of mid-life crisis to leave something behind.
Failure after failure then he got Cass, and she was perfect.
He found something he did care for.
...then she left. And he broke down.
>>105296993She wasn't Shiva yet, she was still just Sandra Woosan- nothing weird the world's greatest(or justabout) assassin would defeat her.
that said I agree with
>>105297005Cass' mother is irrelevant to her character.
>>105297116she'd likely break the game, though.
>>105298501Cass is next to invincible only with normal humans; monkeys, brain-in-a-jar and superpowered people(as well as aliens) can actually bother her.
