This was without a doubt, one of the better Batman stories to come out in the past 5 years. I think what makes it work is just how "back to basics" it really is. No year long dragged out wedding that never happened, no master plan to destroy Gotham, and certainly no magic evil Batmen from another universe. This was just Batman trying to save a little girl. That's it! I kind of wish this was the main Batman book, because I'm kind of intrigued where a certain character could have been taken.
