>>105128101>>105128124>>105128136>>105128153>>105128174I'm sorry, I'm not the guy you're responding to, but I have to interject here and just call out this as fucking shitty writing
I hate the rampant abuse and bizarre one-dimensional use of "intelligence" in the Marvel universe
>we have to put people into cages becuz it's the lesser of eveelzWe, the readers, are never given the other, worse reality.
If you're going to justify why Hitler committed the Holocaust, you better give a compelling and interesting enough reason to the reader as to why. Would the earth be devastated? Did Hitler prevent a reality where all Jews were exterminated instead of some of them? ehat alternate reality leads someone to commit a war crime?
We're not given this alternate future as the readers, just that it exists. Furthermore, it's even more insulting because it's not just one but:
>THEEERTEEE 1 WORSE SCEEENARIOOOS EEF WE DONT BAKSTABB OUR FREENZ SUUUEEEIt's lazy and shoves the plot down this narrow development instead of carrying it in a way that can be interpreted different ways
Furthermore, I'm tired of the 136,763,726th dimensional chess writers pull out of their asses to justify or explain things or give heroes powers. You can only write your character as smart and clever as you are yourself.
There's nothing wrong with making Reed so smart he created the ultimate nullifier, but that was in the 60s; it's nearly sixty years later and Marvel's shitty writers are still using the "he's right/he wins/he can because he's smart" trope
