Back then, every online animator was much more prolific and had their own site and there were a massive variety of Flash portals, not just Newgrounds. There were also more animators overall and less of them were, well, dead. There were also the pro-league animation sites like Mondo, Weebl's Stuff and IceBox, all of which are bygone and you can't even see most of the shows they made anymore because they were all pulled. There also used to be animation teams like Team DNZ, Clairvoyance and SamBakZa, most of which don't exist anymore either. For them to say there was no golden age of online animation is absurd. They also seem to be unaware of any animators from that era apart from Adam Philips, which is ironic since he was one the best animators of the time and has zero online presence anymore. But what can I expect from and insular circle jerk like Sleepy Cast?
