But the Grinch is a fucking asshole. He's dirty and slimy, hates everyone to the point of isolates himself, steals, lies to children and abuses his own dog.
The appeal is that girls want someone to "fix". But Grinch is too sleazy for them to do that, so they had to sanitize him.
