I only saw one episode of Digimon during my childhood, and I actually found it interesting how different it was from Pokemon. The Digimon were capable of human speech, they could reverse their evolutions, and there wasn't a villain group who said their motto every single damn episode.
To this day, I wonder why I never got into it. Though considering OP was a thing, part of me's glad I stuck with Pokemon.
