Similarly for fiction, whenever I saw hot fictional characters my mind instantly went back to all the depressing thoughts real life girls would give me.
It was this particular moment that I kind of started to realize the mindset of making legacy characters not sexy. It allows for greater escapism instead of reminding you of your failed ambitions. I was actually thinking of reading a Gamora book or some shit, if only because it was so detached from common sexuality it wouldn't instantly make me feel terrible at the very least.
I suppose most of /co/ has given up on their ambitions long ago, so seeing hot fictional people doesn't make them feel just as worthless as real ones though.
