>>104758429>How would an Unsounded game even work. A sidescroller beat em up? Isometric tun based combat? Generic JRPG?People like Unsounded most for its characters, locations, and DEEPESTLORE, so any game would need to prominently feature those as selling points. Isometric turn based strategy would probably be the best way to showcase the frantic fight sequence without being overwhelming. kinda like Fire Emblem, except with more dead children.
Pymery mechanics seem pretty simple too. Just assign every character and terrain tile with aspect points for different resources/attack types/etc (hot, cold, slashing, crushing, metal, wood, light, dark, etc). To perform a Pymery attack, a Write character just selects his attack from a list of known attacks, selects one or more source tiles within range, and finally selects a target tile within range. If there is enough of the required aspects in the source tiles, the attack is successful, and damage is calculated from armor/resistance/whatever. Taking an attack or defense aspect from another character will prevent them from using that specific attack or defense item for one turn.
