There’s some
deaths and
emotional distance between Miles and his dad (his dad hates Spider people and also disapproves of Miles’ love for art), plus Peter and MJ divorce and Peter is broken because of it . The movie itself is very sentimental and nostalgic-feeling. Makes me long to be a kid again.
It’s mature in the way that it has blood, guns, and death. No swears as far as I remember. It also dealt with mature themes, like loss, finding yourself, family issues, relationship issues, and want VS need. It was tastefully mature and proved that animated films can be mature without being juvenile and crass (i.e.: Sausage Party)
I’d honestly give it a 10/10
