No, the real disparity comes from the fact that /co/ as a board isn't designed to accommodate discussions of Godzilla as opposed to /tv/ and /m/, hence why threads about the franchise come off as desperate or flimsy. Add onto the fact that /co/ is unironically filled with casuals, newfags and underaged users who flood the thread with inane suggestions like pic related that they parrot off youtubers they watch.
Mind you, that isn't to say we can't have good discussions on par with /tv/ o /m/, the thread that was up before the SDCC trailer was released was great, because it started out as a discussion of the 90s show that slowly and naturally drifted towards talking about the other movies. 4chan is still by-in-large better than any other place to discuss Godzilla.
