When vision was created, Banner never had time to so much as touch vision to fix anything.
Vision was created and then they simply planned the assault on Ultron..... and banner was ripped out of earth's atmosphere by devil's anus portal right after ultron was defeated and never returned to earth until right when Heimdall Bifrost'd him back.
So, when you ask a difference between programming and "reprogramming" anything at all, you're either misreading or actively....whether intentionally or not, ignoring the fact that Banner had zero chances to even so much as touch vision.
Again, Shuri has zero knowledge of any of this. She asked as she has not been made aware of any details or matters at all regarding where banner has been or what he's done.
OP's intent is intentionally misleading/misdirecting to be a shitstain when Banner's answer was satisfactory to both answer and to protect himself.
Just because the audience has knowledge of everything doesn't mean every single character is on the exact same page of context.
Shuri isn't making banner look dumb in this scene and never did. Anybody peddling that rationale has an agenda to sell.
1. Banner's field is less in tech design and more in bio and radiation research.
2. Much like every other earth-bound person not named thor odinson, Shuri has no knowledge of hulk/banner ever leaving earth. She didn't just pop into a theater and see ragnarok to get caught up and it doesn't work that way.
3. The question she asked had no right answer in banner's position. A correct answer in any form instantly fucks him. "I didn't think of it" is the absolute least of multiple evils with negative outcomes. All it took was a half-lie and his pride.
That's all it is and ever will be, full stop.
