For some supervillain origins, you wonder why you don't side with the villain instead of the hero.

eg. Villain was an ordinary man who lost everything (including his family) because of false accusations. (some of the accusers are even working for the REAL perpetrator) By the time that came into light, the actual perpetrator was long gone, and the people who accused him silently go about their business like NOTHING happened, some even Double down, blaming said victim.
With all that happening, can you really ask the audience to side with the hero to stop the villain who's going after the actual perpetrator and his accusers?
