DD is its own seperate story and not referenced in canon media AT ALL (compared to books like Ahsoka, Thrawn)

It should be made non canon or retconned

If they wont, they should Ressurecct her, its a shitty end in a shitty story for a great character, and needs to be fixed

Nothing in the latter half of AT was. It was all just patchwork attempts at taking some throwaway line or gag from the first bit, and pretending it was actually a hint to something big and important all along, along with a dozen different plots that the writers thought would be cool, but couldn’t bear to commit to in any meaningful way, which is why it sucked.

Honestly I think the stark divide between late AT and early AT is exaggerated. Season 5.1 and Season 6 were basically shit but even they had a couple decent stand alone episodes while Seasons 7 - 10 had quite a lot of good episodes that didn't relate much to the overarching plot.

That's the thing. The lore in AT was originally just there to add a sense of reality to what was otherwise complete and utter nonsense, making it feel less like your typical wacky cartoon of the time and more like an actual adventure.

It's like someone decided that frosting was the best part of cake, so they made the whole thing out of it.
