>>104342461>MoS had decent pacing in my eyes.I found that it whiplashed around. It was very slow and choppy for around 60% of its runtime, then it accelerated into what was essentially one big, very tasteless action sequence.
>Cavills acting wasn't that good while the other actors, especially Zod, Lois, and Barry White were pretty great.I really, really don't agree. Cavill is obviously the worst actor in the group, and actually the only bad one, but the others are incredibly wooden in their delivery. This may be because the dialogue us just that bad, though.
>What characterisations didn't you like? All of them. Zod is the only rounded person in the movie and even he is pretty thin. Lois has no personality and her introduction is cringeworthy levels of [insert strong female character line here]. Everyone else is so poorly characterized I found myself forgetting who they were, why they mattered, and that they were even in the movie.
>do you have any examples?Almost everything in relation to Lois. She is constantly put in places she shouldn't be so other character can exposit to her. In BvS she seems to gain telepathy, knowing shit that's happening in other scenes, and at one point makes a stupid action (throwing the spear into the water) just so she can later be granted divine inspiration by the script to go back for it, all because Snyder wanted those visuals in his movie.
As for comparing movies, I hold MCU films to the same standards too, and I don't consider any of them great either. Many of them are very fun and that's fine, but none are great. As far as I can tell, Snyder's films are neither enjoyable nor meaningful nor well constructed.
