I also think it's funny how kids don't seem to see any kind of power fantasy in the character like so many older womanchildren do. Kids like Diana because she's strong and kind, women in their 20's just want to see her beat the shit out of people.
I suppose as you get older you start to develop feelings about race, beauty standards, and power dynamics with men, but I've always thought there should be more of a purity to Wonder Woman, a superpowered Rosie the Riveter.
I'm always down with tackling social issues, especially with Wonder Woman, but like Superman I feel like her looks or her race aren't really the point.
Plenty of people disagree, of course, and those views are just as valid.
