Question time:

Was talking to a friend of mine the other day about films and what we'd both watched lately. His opening gambit: "Incredibles 2" which I too watched and enjoyed... then we went on to talk about "Hereditary" which I too had seen and we both enjoyed... As we trailed onto horror I recommended a fairly old film I had never seen before but thoroughly enjoyed, "Perfect Blue" I told him the storyline and he was intrigued but as he googled it and saw it was an animated film was completely turned off by it...

It got me thinking. Why are people okay with watching actual family films like "Incredibles 2" if they are animated but the thought of an adult animated film such as "Perfect Blue" is so offputting? Anyone have any ideas on this? Or does anyone else share the same views as my friend in this scenario and why are you so offput?
