This is the problem and I don't think it's necessarily the show's problem, but some people's eagerness to buy into this notion and take things seriously at times when the show itself clearly isn't playing things straight. We have to accept that some people want to find victims in things where they aren't necessarily intended to, and while we don't each have to see that inclination as a bad thing, I do.
