>>104046251>I still like Gumball overall,See this is what I'm talking about. For a while now, Gumball threads have just been pretty full of people talking shit. I genuinely can't think of one recent episode people have actually reacted positively to. It gives the impression no one actually even likes the show, or finds anything good in it anymore. DO you guys still like it?
I never really got all the whining though. Honestly I think I do see where the complaints come from. The humor isn't as solid, there's a bunch of meme references, loads of randumb shouting and at this point, a lot of ground they're retreading with repeated jokes and even basic synopses. I mean, just look at the 3 episodes in the OP. ALL of them basically devolved into a loud chase sequence towards the final 3rd. And shit like that just seems to be getting more common whereas before the show kind of dabbled in it.
I guess I never really realised how bad it was until people here have been bringing it up though, because I'm not super into Gumball and with CN's shitty release schedule, I'm barely keeping up these days. I was just happy to find a new episode had dropped.
BUT, even with all that said, I still enjoy the show, while it's seemed like no one here even does. There's still some good jokes. The characters are still fun and I'll still get a laugh from an episode of Gumball. anons here just seem to get more pissed off after a new episode. I don't mind the more cynical humor, I don't mind they're pushing humor more at the forefront now than before, because I've always viewed Gumball as a comedic show, the problem is the humor isn't as solid, but it's still not absolutely terrible.
