The show being the literal magnum opus of Western animation has virtually nothing to do with it also having the best waifus in existence... well, actually it does to some extent, but only in terms of personality since they're also the best-written female /co/ characters in existence. Not appearance.
But that's still only the tip of the iceberg. The series features mind-blowing plot twists and development, dialogue and voice acting that's practically pitch-perfect, and pretty much the best animation/art design, overall characterization (including the guys), worldbuilding/themes, and last but certainly not least music of any cartoon - why the composers still seem to be stuck working on "kids shows" is a bit of a mystery, as they have world-class talent.
