>>103931480>It was okay, but a lot of people are fangasming over it unnecesarily and ignoring a ton of blatant flawsTbf my expectations were in the gutter. Most video game adaptations are utter trash, and I didn't expect anything special from this. This was so much better than I thought it would be, it's easy to forgive that flaws it has.
>It was clearly written with the axiom "MAKE IT AS MUCH LIKE GAME OF THRONES AS POSSIBLE!1"I didn't get that at all.
>which painfully shows with every other word being an f-bomb half the time>"Court Intrigue"Probably a dozen "fucks" said throughout both seasons, desu. If that's all it takes for a show to be like GoT to you then you need to reconsider your opinion.
>MAIN CHARACTERS in a fucking libraryFrom what I've read here, that was due to late rewrites. I thought those scenes dragged on, but I enjoyed them being interspersed with the vampire court story.
>"____insert Castlevania reference here"I never played the games but the only thing that seemed like an out of place/forced reference to me was the metal whip in the chest. The plot had to take a break for Trevor to pick up some loot. That was odd, didn't take me out of the story too much.
>mad bantz between Sypha and Alucard and Trevor here that seem wildly out of place for the time period and setting. >Why so animu? This is supposed to be inspired by anime. People like anime all over the world and this series is the result of that.
As far as the out of place/time dialogue, I accept it for what it is. Vampires aren't real and people didn't talk like that in 1476 or w/e. The jokes that didn't land took me out of the story a few times
piss in a bucket but those weren't bad enough to stop me from just enjoying the show.
