Maybe you're not as good as you think you are and need to lower expectations of yourself before it impacts your creative work with unwarranted pride. It's harder to pass off bad writing as opposed to bad art.

Writers are the people who get you really interested in characters. You can say people would only watch a show with cute girls because they look cute, but it they're written well too, you'll not only waifu them but remember them long after their show is over.

you probably only know shitty storyboards like the ones from steven universe but when done right storyboards can be better than just writing look at this one for invader zim, this is how things look when you actually give a shit
