At the same time, I don't really think he's in the "having-dirty-dreams-about-her" stage yet, as funny as the jokes are. I think he's kind of in the hero-worship stage at the moment. And we don't know Ruby's feelings at all barring the fact that I don't think she's willing to let Yang and Jaune take their anger at Ozpin out on him, which I think she'd do regardless of what her feelings for him are.

I think it'd be cute, but they'd need more development.

They ARE both the youngest in the group and they've both had a huge destiny dropped on them.

I don't think they could have put that much focus on them in V5 while RWBY was still separated (and thus, the plot was divided). Now that the plot won't be jumping around as much, I think we'll get a better grasp of how Oscar interacts with Ruby (and hopefully the rest of the team).

God I wish the writers would just quit it with Salem entirely. Literally just have Tyrion poison her to death or something and move on with that plot thread. Villains aren't fucking scary if they don't ENGAGE with the goddamn heroes. Adam has only gotten more fucking credible after his loss because he got away and they can do more shit with his character. Salem, by contrast, just sort of sits around and acts evil. And what else CAN they do? Salem is ultimate Evil. If she engages with RWBY now, they'll never have the material for 10+ seasons. So they have her sit back and wait and be completely unthreatening while the other villains build a fanbase.

So just be done with it! You've created a semi-interesting world, there are these macguffins for people to fight over, just kill the witch off and start focusing on characters who aren't so fucking overpowered and Evil that you have to keep them in the shadows because otherwise you'd "diminish their threat" or ruin your entire plot.

Too soon to call that. All we know is that weeks later she's walking around in a hood and apparantly so weak Neo can fight her. Realization I just had: If the relic attracts grimm, and the group had been staying in Mistral or so for 2 weeks [according to Qrow at the beginning], and I imagine the mistral attack making people panic

how in the fuck was Mistral still in one piece if all those negative emotions and TWO WEEKS worth of relic outside of vault + negative emotions were a thing.

I'm honestly realizing the relic attracting grimm was a giant asspull/railroad just so random grimm encounters show up along the journey, as well an excuse for the group to walk again even though the train was an option

Because she's almost entirely a nothing character. And "crazy psycho murderer" isn't an archetype I like. I just don't care about her at all. I'm hoping RT can make her interesting for me but I doubt it.
