Yes I was and yes there was. The jokes are slightly more offensive because today's audience is different, but at its core what I saw of S2 was as trite and hollow as this, and covered roughly the same themes too.

How much you enjoy aspects of it depends on your personal damage. It's hard to recommend this show to anyone that isn't at least kinda fucked up. Fortunately most people are at least kinda fucked up.

I'll find this out for myself soon. I had never seen "BoJack" before, because I don't watch TV shows online and I did not want to open a Netflix Account. But now Comedy Central is showing the show right after "South Park" on Wednesdays, and so I'm finally seeing Season One eps.

I think you're letting your own biases cloud your judgement. They're all unlikable characters. Diane just feels especially terrible, because Diane and Bojack have worked themselves into the perfect abusive dynamic. Bojack lets Diane hurt him, because he wants to be hurt. But, she was still the one to break the dynamic and get Bojack the help he needs.
