Gotham. It has a lot of flaws, but it has the combination of ridiculous, campy, grimdark and self-aware that make it way more entertaining than any other objectively better cape show. I hope it will get some kind of continuation after the fifth season.

It had it's flaws but it also had some of the best episodes. People complained in season one that nothing happens and they get a lot of "happening" in season 2 but are still not happy about it.

Spiderman Homecoming. It's one of my favorite superhero movies since Iron Man 1. It has all the things I've been craving since the superhero genre exploded:

>Lots of little "everyday life" of the hero
>Hero having to fight very low level crimes to the point of getting bored
>The hero being inexperienced and not a pro right off the bat
>The hero actually having some fucking fear and emotion over his life as a hero (Crying about Tony Stark yelling at him, panicking when he thought he was going to die in the rubble, being deer in the headlights when in the car of the villain)
>Lots of stressful situations that are low scale (His friends about to die in an elevator, him drowning)
>A finale that isn't THE ENDDDD OF THE WORLDDDDD

The plane chase where nobody dies and nobody is even on the plane except the hero and villain is more tense than all of Asgard blowing up.

Well there was no tension in that scene, so that's not very hard.
It's pretty obvious Wikitikitorch gave no real fucks about Asgard and it was pretty much a rushdown to kill them off to build up how bad Hela was.

That's what I mean, though. Writers tend to think by default, if an action is bigger than means the audience will feel bigger emotions over it. IE: There is no greater threat than the EARTH BLOWING UP!!! But that threat is so fucking commonplace and never actually happens, there is no tension. Hela is going around killing all these background characters and CG sets like I'm gonna start weeping for them. Even Thor's old friends were barely present in the previous movies for us to miss them.

Loki's real death was way more impactful despite being a very simple slow choking scene because we actually want Loki to live. You don't need a grand battle and him dying with a spear in the chest for it to have an impact.

Sometimes it's not even about the longevity of the consequence but just the emotion expressed and how characters react to it. We know Spiderman is coming back after Infinity War, but how much he panicked about it, how much it affected Tony and how slow and agonizing it was to watch made it still really sad to watch.

I want way more personal moments and slow actions happening in superhero stuff instead of giant Lord of the Rings battles in every single scene.

Loved Iron Fist too, but for all the wrong reasons. S1 was the meachum show and S2 made me confused because I should hate coleen swordfist but I love it. And I didnt know how much I wanted Danny&Ward Adventures.

Prior to that, they had Hela destroy Thor's hammer with little effort and after that scene, she decimated all of Asgard's soldiers and fleet. All that before she gets to the throne. It's a lot of scenes close together dedicated to showing off how strong someone is, when I think it was more done because the movie wanted lots of battle sequences.

Well, S1 Luke Cage's best character wasn't THE villain either because that's technically Diamonback and he sucked a bag of dicks. It was the side villains for sure: Black Mariah and Cottonmouth.

Most people are put off by the animation, but it doesn't me much. I like it for pretty much the same reason as my other choices. I enjoy the characters, and the fight scenes are pretty cool (the fight scene in the first ep of RWBY volume 6 shits on everything in volume 5). Most of all, I wanna see where the story goes on those show. I'm on it for the ride. I'm aware of their glaring flaws, but I still enjoy the other things about them.

I agree. I also think it's a pretty good show overall. It's a frustrating show sometimes when you hear about some of the stuff they had planned that was better than what we got, but overall the show is fun enough that I still enjoy the end product.

Dominator was a good villain and had the most interesting character concept (in the context of the show) and potential for development out of the main cast, I don't get why her having an attractive design and occasionally being annoying is cause for thinking she was bad.

That Ultimate Spider-Man show. It wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed how it showcased a variety of different heroes and villains every now and then, and it had its genuine moments of sincerity, monkey noises and cut-aways aside.
