Are they better or worse then they have been the in the last decade? Do you see things slowly getting worse or better? Do you even buy comic books anymore?

For the last 20 years good comics were the exception, so nothing is really that different these days, except a stylistic shift.

I mean, where was I in 1998? Reading mediocre Nightwing and Spider-Man books, and that's pretty much where I am now

Marvel has cut back on the SJW push but still has the same cuck writers with no notable improvement in quality (if anything you could argue Ewing and Duggan are getting worse).

DC was in such a rush for re-retcon bucks that they threw out some legitimately good nu52 stuff and now that sales are cooling they're springing an edgy event on readers. The Bendisification of DC is also pretty worrying, dude's got control of the company icon and will soon be writing 4 more titles.

I'm reading fewer storytimes than before and when I do read them they're shit. Bad times for capes.

DC would fuck itself because it really fucked up the continuity and retcon alot of things just to pander the old fans. Even worse Bendis is writing Superman and made it shit

I honestly think the art style has a lot to do with it. I'll accept much more from animated cartoons because of the simpler art style. When you use a more stylized look it subconsciously tells your audience that they're going to need to suspend their disbelief more

I don't have too much of an opinion, because I'm a fucking story glutton who will probably continue to read some of their works regardless because it is a thing to do.
Granted 95% of this is reading via piracy so it's not like I'm supporting anything I don't enjoy and what I do like I always plan to buy eventually (indie stuff I think needs the numbers more takes priority in my floppies and what I can afford to get easy takes priority.

Does that mean I care if they make stupid ideas? No, and I likely won't ever buy it unless it goes to like $2pertrade clearance.
