So after rumors started circulating, confirmation now has come out that Mark Waid's fancy high price lawyer has told Mark Waid to drop dead and forcing Waid to hire a less successful lady lawyer as his new lawyer, to defend him in the law suit filed against him by Diversity & Comics.

Rumor around the comic pro grapevine is that Zaid realized Waid was guilty as sin and told him to point-blank settle with Richard to make it go away, since defending him and doing the necessary stall tactics needed to outlast Richard would cost Waid more than it would be worth to just settle to make the case go away.

Waid's new lawyer has filed for a continuance, which Richard has accepted. But if Waid's traded down to a female lawyer with none of the pedigree of Zaid, it's a good sign that he's fucked. And all that's left, is how much money he wants to waste on lawyers before settling with Richard, before they go to trial and he ends up losing even worse.
