It's shit that you know, comedians or whoever could get caught in the crossfire and that definitely has to change.
But a lot of these laws are to protect people from torrents of abuse. You know those video clips of you seeing Americans going absolutely full rage towards barista's and salespeople, for next to no reason?
In Scotland (and the UK), they would be arrested for that, because they are making a scene and are causing danger and alarm to those around them. The enviroment is now deemed unsafe and thus, you have to remove the thing that is making it unsafe.
Yet in the US, that particular barista or salesperson would be liable because the coffee/food was a degree too hot/cold and that is not the way coffee is made in this Christian Country.
I've been to the US, I have seen people hurl hot coffee at staff members with no remorse and no consequence because 'The Customer is always right.'
Here? You act like a criminal you are going to be treated like one.
