Thor and Cap are the only really noble heroes in 616.

Cap is self-explanatory. And while Thor may be a boisterous asshole with delusions of godhood, he is at least motivated by his compassion for the little man.
Just about everyone else has either selfish or muddled motives:
>Hulk wants to be "left alone" but refuses to just isolate himself for good
>X-Men want mutant rights but do nothing but cause trouble and associate with murderers
>Iron Man is an arrogant know it all who uses heroic deeds to quell his feelings of self-loathing
>The Fantastic Four are slaves to an autistic, absurdly conceited mad scientist who is obsessed with being the smartest guy in any room
