>>103289086>Alright, then why can't two same sex characters be just friends?you mean the majority of the muppet kingdom? Basically every muppet has a same sex friend, I'm pretty sure that slimey and oscar are both dudes
Nobody is trying to make every muppet gay, they just wanted bert and ernie
>It's primarily about changing characters, most controversy centers on the fact that a character is being changed, not that some character of another race or sexual orientation might be added to a show.Yeah, this time, but any time they add any character that isn't a white straight male, everyone has exactly the same kind of problem
And it's not even specifically about sexuality or race, people are STILL mad about She-Ra being a flat masculine teenager
>>103289289Yes, I'm triggered
If you don't care, why post?
bye
>>103289378Kids absolutely do care
If young girls can care about not enough female role models, if black kids can care about not enough black representation, then gay kids can care about their sexuality being represented on screen
and for some reason, despite multiple people being able to be aware of their sexuality at that age (or at the very least feeling attracted to certain people), people argue that gay kids can't possibly know that they like people of the same sex
Which is what the argument came down to before. Sexuality isn't specifically about intercourse, you're just corroborating the notions because that's what you think when you think gay or homosexual
I was in kindergarten and I remember having crushes on my teacher and a girl in the class, you're never too young to think somebody is beautiful and you shouldn't try to masquerade that as not a potential indication of sexuality
Bert and Ernie don't have to be gay, but if they were, it wouldn't be the end of the world and the only thing that would really change besides the characters is the dynamic between those two characters
