>>103341659>Joshua almost definitely died building that dungeon, right?
I thought so for a while after Dad's Dungeon aired but I guess they didn't since Finn and Jake explicitly buried him. Like they would have had to have known how he died if they buried him right? Or was it a symbolic thing where they never found his body?
Maybe they found him dead in the woods somewhere after the demon spit him out or some shit, their reactions there are kind of weird.
But as to the rest I thought Finn and Jake bonded greatly while their parents were still alive so that's how they're so close. I'd imagine that (in context where parents died before the show) Finn was a wreck who only got better once he became a hero and had PB's favor and shit, he put his all into that and it pulled him out of whatever funk he was in.
The pictures one is interesting, but I dunno, maybe their folks weren't interested in grown up pictures?
I thought how Finn reacted in DD was because this was the first time Joshua was like that to Finn since he was a baby. Like when Finn was littler he was used to this and thought it was nbd but now that it's been some years he's freshly hurt by it.
Maybe it doesn't make sense but it's so weird imagining Finn and Jake living in their old house for years with Jermaine, or at the Treefort for years before the show starts. Lots of season 1 makes it seem like they're experiencing very new things (getting to now PB, becoming more of a foil to IK) so I feel like it would've had to have been recent. I think a year at most would've been when they moved to Treefort, and before that their parents would have died because I don't know when/why else they would've moved there other than the deaths.
To go further on my bullshit rant I imagined they went to the Treefort in the first place because Joshua had a holo-message or something wanting Finn to go there amongst the monsters to "toughen him up" with Jake to take care of him while Jermaine watched the family house.
