>>103158581It's like a western magical girl show, with a fat kid instead of a magical girl. It's comfy. Lots of slice of life stuff interspersed with increasing amounts of drama. The lead starts out annoying and dumb but over the course of the show greatly matures and improves. One of the big draws in the early seasons was the way they drip-fed the lore - I remember lots of lively debates about foreshadowing or minute clues that turned out to be legit, before the /co/ fandom settled down into the cesspit it is now. The "SJW" stuff is not particularly in your face, but if you're the kind of person who uses the term SJW it'll probably annoy you (there's a gay wedding in season 5, for example). Would recommend, B+.
