That's certainly a contributor. It's still too soon that the 2012 show is still fresh in it's intended audience's minds and they would rather just have that.

Not counting the live action show most of the other shows had at least a 5 year gap

I think first impressions are everything when it comes to reboots, and I didn't really see any love towards the new designs at all when they were revealed. This. Nick has been pushing app views for this show for months before the debut. The first episode on YouTube racked up 3.6 million views in a month and made it on their most popular videos page. They had to have known the tv debut would bring in low numbers because most people would have already seen the first episode.

And Fairy Tail is not a Seinen, it's a Shounen. Female characters who are both sexy and using their sexual allure to seduce a man. It's simply something that you don't see in Western media. The closest thing I remember to seeing something like this was when the purple obese ugly piece of garbage "female" from Steven Universe was dancing by shaking her obese ass. But the only reason that was allowed to air was because she's fat and gross. Legitimately attractive looking females are taboo.

And frankly Western videogames are also suffering from the same shit. It's frustrating that this is what's become of western culture. This is what westerners deserve for allowing weak beta males and women to have rights. And don't argue with me about this, the ugly truth is that you'd be surprised how many people do not deserve to have any say in civilization.

Bay's turtles look too much like literal humans with body paint on (kind of reminds me of the concept art of Jurassic Park with the human/dino hybrids in that they looked WAY too human). Funny how Guardians of the Galaxy did a decent rendition of a live action anthro. Though I guess there's a difference, Rocket is a short raccoon, while the turtles are meant to be more human sized. Even so the design of their faces and appendages leaves a lot to be desired. That recent fighting game by Warner Bros ironically nailed a good design for the turtles.

The show has been getting nonstop advertising from commercials to the Nick logo being changed with a large ass banner. If they didn't overhype every new show they air, maybe more viewers would be interested.

Since TLH beat SpongeBob in ratings, Nick thinks every show that competes with it with a back-to-back premiere timeslot will magically spark good ratings. The problem with that is that after the new episode of TLH airs, the repeat the episode that came before it, which makes many viewers change the channel. If they could just stop having it compete with other shows, maybe it would have better ratings. They did this shit with Jungle Movie for fuck's sake.

Because that's not the way television, especially children's television works. The reason demographics are seen as important is because generally a show's budget is determined by how much interest they can get from investors and marketers. So let's say you make a show aimed at teen girls. Advertisers pay the network to run commercials for their teen girl products during that show thinking that it's going to be a hit with them. It's not teen girls that end up watching the show though, it's middle aged men. So all these companies that paid to have their teen girl products advertised during the show are now preying on deaf ears because the middle aged men who ended up watching the show aren't interested. So when advertisers take a look at ratings and who's tuning in, they see that their target audience isn't watching, and they decide to no longer pay the network to run ads during that timeslot. Now they're stuck in the situation where teen girl advertisers don't want to be there, and advertisers for middle aged men don't want to buy time during a teen girl show. If they have trouble selling ad time during the show, then it becomes useless to the network and they pull the plug. TV channels don't just magically make money from people tuning in. They make it from selling ad time to advertisers.

Freakazoid did horribly with kids, but did quite well with adults and actually did insanely well with prison inmates. You can't sell stuff to prisoners though, so it was cancelled.

It's just not a new and exciting property anymore.
And turning them all into nigs isn't going to make it so. You just end up making something not really all that appealing to old or new fans. Should have let it rest a few years and then release it on a streaming service where you're not as beholden to the identity politics of today, the flashy kiddie toy market, silly demo ratings and you can get away with some mature situations as well.
