interns usually turn into editors/writers
in the 70s and 80s marvel and dc paid close to a living wage so talented sci-fi/comic nerds like Mark Gruenwald and Bill Mantlo were easy to get
those types are hard to come by now because the big 2 are so cheap and because creator rights is a huge thing now when it wasnt in the 70s/80s, so actually creative people with cool character concepts arent gonna give them to the big 2

Just because women don't read capeshit doesn't mean they don't read comics. Women creators of independent comics are doing just fine; they cater to a known niche and it works.

Marvel/DC's failings have less to do with women and more to do with the fact that these niche demographics want NEW, ORIGINAL characters that speak to them. Putting Batman in a gay romance story isn't speaking to a new demographic, it's just another damn Batman story.

CG is rolling along shitting on bad comics, buying good ones and trying to overturn the SJW infestation.

Vox Day is trying to make money off of CG but very few people are interested in anything he does.

EVS is getting egotistic and I've backed off.

But CG is funding dreams and supporting all sorts of creators, regardless of race, gender or age.

Also, nobody can be banned from CG because it's not an organization. It's a loose association based on trust. Big 2 and other creators are still suggested at times.

Not really, no. It's basically a poor man's imitation of Liefeld's style without any of the flare. Say what you want about his failings as an artist, but Liefeld had a way of making all his images look energized and frenetic. All of Malin's illustrations just look lifeless.

And no, even for an indie book it's not particularly good. There're plenty of artists who work or have worked in the indie circuit who's art blows Malin out of the water. Hell, there are webcomic artists who's stuff is far better.

Except that's not what they do at all. CG is about calling writers not doing their due diligence. Most of the the content being put out by Big Two is leading to shrinking sales and Comic Book Shops going out of business because the writers aren't talented enough to write a proper story with characters who aren't just their surface-level attributes or misinterpretations of characters with a long history.

Comic book sales are shrinking, the industry is in a downward spiral and the gatekeepers would rather continue the status quo and bully one another into a hivemind than accept that some of them just aren't up for the big leagues and were elevated to that position because of their status of belonging to specific gender, minority of religion.

The practice of watching as people are given positions for artificial reasons instead of actual merit and then watching their books fail to sell only to be given another title which fails, and then another followed by another will frustrate literally anyone if this was done to an industry you care about. To attempt to rectify this comicbook companies have assigned books to experienced writers from different genres of fiction but they either misinterpret the character or fail to understand how to use the medium to tell a proper story so these [most of the time] also fail to generate interest/sales.

Then the fans respond with "get someone on the book who actually understand swhat makes these characters fun to read" and, in return, are told by the professionals writing/editing the comic that their stance doesn't matter and begin to collude and malign the paying customer instead of being professionals.

And this is how the industry dies.

In hindsight it looks like they were trying to future proof the MCU. Rather than replace the actors which would have caused backlash or have fans not watch because they loved the originals. Replace the characters entirely with new ones. Except they did it in the stupidest way possible.

Her character was a decent comedic sidekick, and with Portman not around, they can take the 8 layers of sweaters off her and really show off that bod. The Marvel Netflix shows are hit and miss, some like Iron Fist S1 and Jessica Jones S2 are too fucking hard to watch
Maybe i am just paranoid or pissed for reasons that have not/might not happen, but with as many people sperging up at Netflix and Marvel Comics are you guys really not scared at what might happen?
