Here's my take on how it should have gone after Season 2 or 3, whichever had Young PB premiere:
>Young Peebs and Finn have obvious chemistry, and all the perks of young puppy love
>Lemongrab (Or maybe PBs cousin?) shows up and completely usurps the throne and kicks PB and co. out
>cue entire season arc of Finn and PB working together to take the Candy Kingdom back, Gumball Guardians vs Lemon Sentinels and everything
>throughout the season it should give time to flesh out PB and Finn's characters, with Finn's reckless honor clashing heads with PBs even more accentuated stubbornness due to her being an angsty teen again
>in the season finale have Young PB and Finn break up for whatever reason is the most logical based on the context
>cue S4 with Flame Princess debuting and the vanilla relationship between her and Finn developing
>Young PB who doesn't have to be aged up again is extremely jealous of their relationship
Now this can go one of two ways after this point
>Finn fucks up his relationship with FP through means that actually make sense instead of his Fire vs Ice fetish
OR
>PB sabotages the relationship between Finn and FP, and the climax of the season is her confessing that she never stopped loving him even after they separated, and that since the beginning he has always been her hero, and no amount of science in the world could replace him
>they get back together
>Next couple seasons involving relationship in any story line would be reduced to a single subplot of PB vs a bitter FP and nothing more
>now that Marcy and PB aren't being shoved together by writers there can be better storytelling of Marceline and Simon's stories, with Finn and PB being supporting roles still
>in the finale the montage ends and the final scene is Finn getting married to PB, and vowing to start a whole new adventure
Threw it together kind of quickly, but I would really appreciate some constructive criticism from you other anons, hell if you think you have an improvement then say so
