Your issues. And mine, I'll admit. To be quite fair, we've gotten so swept up in decrying the appearance of minorities in stuff that we've forgotten that there are a lot of people whose primary complaints really are "it's a black person, I don't like black people."
Here's the thing, I agree that Ghostbusters 20whateveryearitwas was garbage, and raceswapping characters to be black is generally unnecessary. But there's a group of people who disagree with the very presence of minorities, and they tend to sidle in beside us and try to use our arguments to give themselves legitimacy, which is why often people are super fucking suspicious of us. Now, it's still wrong to write out points off as being racist because of this (and most rational people actually don't do this; you're really only seeing vehement hate in response from the tightly knit, relatively small tumblr crew), but it's not really a helping to do the same thing when someone else has similar misgivings.
