She reverts back to being a 20 year old body the next episode into the next season.

Everyone outside of /co/ seems to forget this was a real love interest for both Finn and Bubble Gum.

The ending was terrible.
Penn leaving was the worst thing for the show.

Huh. It's neat to see all these little details being internally consistent.

Honestly, after watching the finale, I'm fully confident saying I've had enough Adventure Time. I'd really had enough 3 years ago, but now I feel satisfied rather than fed up with it. I hope to see the people move on to new works. Under the show's bizarre pacing and idiotic fart humor, there's some real love and creativity put into it, and I hope the people who contributed that can do it more.

Kind of like how I feel about Over the Garden Wall. I don't want more of that specific story, I want more works by the same people.

Oh, I remember. I remember being the only person to complain about how a big change at the end of the previous season being undone immediately the next season seemed like they didn't know what they were doing when talking with my IRL friends while that season was still airing. I don't think that young PB was necessarily a good way to go, even for a short arc, but you don't push that as a game changing thing in a season finale only to revert it in one episode. It was total bullroar.

I like young PB and the idea of her being together with Finn, but I love Hynden Walch, I'm glad the change was reverted.

Also I think she's a more interesting character as a grown-up.

I was one of those people who stopped caring about Adventure Time when Steven Universe started getting really popular, and when AT was going through a slump of really weird filler episodes. I still ended up watching the finale and bawling my eyes out, and actually kind of regret not sticking this series out to the end.

I started watching the series again from where I had left off and omg, Stakes is AMAZING. I was really surprised that, even though I haven't watched the show in like three or four years, I still care about the characters and the show does manage to tug at my heartstrings.

Seasons 3 and 4 have a lot of problems, but they still have standout episodes that kept people invested, and the show did not make the complete change into being something different until somewhere in season 5. It was so annoying telling people you thought some episodes were just outright bad while the show was still in the prime of its popularity.

Season 5 was when they made the move to 50+ episodes.
S5 and its "filler" is just more to love.
Ooo was able to really respirate with all that extra room.
PB, Marcy, IK all got the time to grow and be who they were meant to be.

It perfectly foreshadows their moment in the finale, I love it.

That's when Finn started to get shit over and over and over forever. He got with HW at the end and all, but it was very depressing to hear the songs in Incendium now that we know how everything ends up.
