>>102779731>Is rhe transformation of the lich the point where the episodes qualities and stories took a nosedive.Depends on who you ask. Excluding people who enjoyed it all the way through, Season 6 seems to have been when the most amount of people dropped the show. It's when the ratings take a nose dive. The two parter that started that season and saw the Litch finally defeated was one of the top four highest rated episodes of AT according to Wikipedia, one of the only four episodes to break 3 million
There's a decline in the show starting with Season 3, with them immediately backpedaling on the whole young PB idea and starting to push characters in directions people didn't like, but it's not till season 5 when episodes like Frost and Fire or Red Throne aired that people really became furious in mass with the way the show was going. Breezy seemed to have been the last straw for most people in season 6 and might have been the single episode to see the most people drop the show based on the reaction here.
>And was the beating of the lich the real ending? There are too many endings you can pick. Sealing the Litch away with the life juice was a neat idea, and it would have been a fine ending without pushing it over the line of turning him into a giant goofy looking baby. I'd say Mortal Recoil is the best ending that feels like an ending, Dad's Dungeon is an okay more downbeat ending, and Jake The Dog is a decent ending that still lets you see the return of the Litch some of the diamonds in the rough during season 4.
