>>102776773Finn stops the Gum War, like the finale shows, but then Betty fucks up and finds another of the countless hands of the Lich that have been scattered across the Multiverse, since the Lich is, in his own words, 'The Last Scholar of GOLB'. Through his help, she summons GOLB sacrificing Maya. Sweet P and Finn clash with the Lich, and while they keep him at bay (albeit Finn loses his arm, Betty and Simon are swallowed by GOLB and forced to face the end together. Since he's bound to die quickly without it and Betty can't stand it, instead they decide to wish for all the arms of the Lich's to be wiped away of existance before they can come back and summon GOLB, and this makes him disappear retroactively, but for some reason GOLB stays, being an entity of chaos.
Instead of jobbing hard, the group fights the warped candy to a standstill, while still destroying the treehouse, and eventually gather courage and defeat the beasts through power of song, through BMO's breakthrough. GOLB senses a threat, takes on multi-armed form and rips reality with his mind, and Finn takes him on using the power of the Comet across a warped battleground where things are more subject to will than causality. Since there's two versions of the same incarnation of the Comet, Fern wraps around him like his cursed Grass Sword, making a Grass Armor and ejecting his Finnsword. As everyone (including the Finnsword) sings, Finn dives into the heart of GOLB and stabs it, realizing he cannot kill GOLB and that GOLB cannot harm him. Recognizing him as the one being that escaped him long before (in Puhoy) he gives him the victory and goes back to the void, waiting for the time the Comet won't be around. He however predicts that the Lich will always come back and Finn tells him that there will always be someone ready to stop him.
(GOLB doesn't actually talk; we can hear gibberish but Finn translates it as it answers.)
