Hollywoodization of pacing, tone and general storytelling style aside, it was a'ight. Straight animation instead of mocap would have been nice though, it feels a bit monstry

The obnoxiously hectic chase and action scenes of RP1 kind of reminded me of Tintin. It's funny how Spielberg manages to stay 100% current

Yeah, that's my main problem with it. It's going to age the film in a way that other styles wouldn't.

I loved it, but I can see how kids would be overwhelmed or confused. It moved VERY fast and you've got to pay attention to keep up. Honestly, it demanded more from its audience than a lot of movies made for adults.

The issue I have is that the movie is unsubtle to the point where I was calling things 30 minutes before they happened. Sometimes that's fine, but Tintin was telegraphed to a point where it's annoying.
