I do like all the writers and artists involved so I'm cautiously optimistic. I think it's funny X-Men Red is getting kinda ignored since no Taylor involved.

It's rare you hear an opinion this wrong. Yes the last 20 years of Psylocke existence, the only period people give a fuck about, she's been boring. Not like before when her most interesting features were being British and being related to Captain Britain, a much more interesting character. And Cap Britain is usually pretty dull himself so that should tell how actually boring she was before that. What aspect of her original version was possibly interesting to you?

I have read those X-men comics and she's basically just a replacement Jean. There is nothing memorable about her from that period other than her silly costumes and the times she soloed Sabretooth back when Sabretooth was a threat. Even in Captain Britain she was boring.

Chamber had a huge gaping hole in his mouth and chest without his powers, he got rebuilt by the descendants of Apocalypse who gave him gray skin and blue lips in the process. All that got undone and he got his mutant powers back from Legion

The four minis are all largely unrelated and are mostly just about the people in his life (and Daredevil) looking for clues on where he is and failing. They're loosely connected by some company called Soteira, but that's it.

So if this is leading to a linewide relaunch after these 10 weekly issues called disassembled then expect the flagship book to be New X-Men. Like Avengers. Also explains why they would bring Uncanny back for the disassembled series and not what it leads to, because it won’t be the big book. That’s why Wolverine and Cyclops are not there, especially with Wolverine not having the excuse of death anymore. Also Uncanny has not been the flagship book in a long time- the last big X-Men books were Morrison’s New and Whedon’s Astonishing. During Gillen’s Uncanny it did outsell Wolverine and the X-Men (which Aaron tried to push as the bigger book) but the more popular book was actually Uncanny X-Force. And then Bendis had All New and Uncanny and tried to keep them as sister books basically and after he left Extraordinary was the main book. So there is precedent besides the obvious Avengers mindset of Marvel having Disassembled = New.

Most A and B listers are safe, I would say this is Storm's time to die but she needs to be around to boost Black Panther's sales
also if Bishop and Prestige (yuck) survived Extermination they'll survive this
Polaris would also be on the chopping block but she's the breakthrough character on Gifted and will be due for a major redesign and push soon.
The Dead is pretty easy to pick
Magma and Sunfire tops the list, if they didn't have the same power they'd both be killed
Evan is next, just to simplify Apoc

So far Esme was the main sister on the show, at least to the point when others were introduced, because we're not sure which is which. The actress that plays them teased that in S2 we'll see more of their character, their differences and possibly even more sisters. Right now, it looks like they'll kill one of them in X-23 but will bring Esme back.... At least I hope so. I don't really want any of them to die.
