I feel for you, I was reading s_d around the same time. I had recently gotten into cape comics, and the community was very helpful for me. It helped me find great recommendations and learn a lot of new information. But after the LJ community died and they started cracking down on rules (first for copyright problems, later because they got sucked into the recently born social justice movement), it just wasn't same anymore. I argued against their ethos for a while, but in the end I just gave up and migrated to /co/.
I had previously stayed away from 4chan because I thought this site was a shitpile. But s_d's attempts to make their community more welcoming to people like me managed to make me so disgusted that I rather chose to hang out on 4chan.
Thinking about s_d gives me mixed feelings. Nostalgia for more innocent times, memories of fun posts, yet bitter disappointment over how it all turned out. I'm especially upset that their political BS didn't stay in LJ drama posts by teenage girls; it has only continued spreading further and growing more insane over the years after I left the place. Their social theories have infected entertainment media, daily politics, and as a result of those, 4chan's mood couldn't remain unaffected either.>>102177967
I'm pretty sure he liked Peter but he was also into cuckoldry, which is why he commissioned those pieces. Although I think he tried to come up with excuses that they weren't just porn, they were some kind of tongue-in-cheek metaphor of how Marvel treats Spidey. Or some bullshit like that.
