>>102221549It's almost ingenious how fucked-up the rules were.
Personal attacks weren't allowed, except there was an asterisk that explained how calling someone out for saying oppressive things isn't a personal attack.
If someone was offended, they were not required to communicate their opinion in a civil fashion, because it's okay to feel angry when you're oppressed.
The offended party did not have to explain their point of view to the party that caused offense, because it's not the offended party's task to educate others.
If you caused offense, you were not allowed to explain yourself or question the offended person's sensitivity. You were expected to just apologize, grovel, and admit that you were on the wrong.
All of this turned the whole thing into victim olympics. You were forced to reveal personal information about yourself, something to claim a victim status. If you didn't, these people would dismiss you for having some form of privilege, and they wouldn't bother coming up with actual counter-arguments to your post.
And all the while through this, the community thought they were noble and tolerant people fighting the good fight, rather than just a bunch of jerks doing mental gymnastics to justify discrimination against people and beliefs they couldn't tolerate.
Shemale's username was rather in-your-face, and now that I'm thinking about it, so were those usericons (the screencap earlier ITT shows a rage face and an "it's a trap" Ackbar picture). Maybe it really might've been just someone having a laugh by abusing the loopholes and making the mods look stupid.
