No matter how well they do it, people are going to laugh at an actress stomping around miniatures or even a CG set, so unless they make her wear some sort of robot suit or harness or make her look like a monster or something there's going to be an uncanny valley effect.
This is why Scott Lang always had his face obscured when he shrunk or grew.
I'm not talking what I'd think, or what you'd think, but what general audiences would think, and they're the only ones that matter to the people paying for these films to be made.
